This year, we’re proud to introduce the newly named Community Impact Award, celebrating the businesses and Community Interest Companies (CICs) that make North Tyneside extraordinary.
Three themed nomination periods will take place in spring (March, April and May), recognising organisations that create meaningful change across our borough.
Each theme winner will be announced the following month and invited to attend the North Tyneside Business Awards Ceremony in November 2026.
Eligibility: This award is open to businesses and Community Interest Companies (CICs) only. Charities are not eligible unless they are applying through a trading arm or subsidiary that operates as a business or CIC, as this award forms part of the wider North Tyneside Business Awards.
If you know a business or CIC making a real difference — or if that organisation is yours — we’d love to hear from you. Nominate or apply today.

Positive Change (March)
Recognising businesses that create measurable, positive change within North Tyneside. This includes addressing local challenges, supporting residents, and delivering initiatives that have a clear and lasting impact on the community. Nominations should provide tangible examples of positive outcomes.
Wellbeing (April)
Celebrating businesses that champion sustainability, enhance the local environment, and improve quality of life. This includes green initiatives, social wellbeing programmes, and efforts that support community health and resilience.
Collaboration (May)
Highlighting businesses that actively engage with the local area through partnerships, collaborations, or community-led initiatives. We want to see how businesses nurture strong relationships and contribute to a more connected North Tyneside.
North Tyneside Business Forum management team will score & judge the nominations received at the closest meeting to the end of the nomination period.
An external member will be asked to submit their recommendations for winner to panel – this could be a member of the North Tyneside Council Economic Growth team or a member of the VODA directorate team.
Join us in celebrating North Tyneside’s community champions at the North Tyneside Business Awards Ceremony on 19th November 2026.
All Community Impact Award theme winners will be invited to attend as special guests.
