Generation North East

Generation North East

Generation North East (NE) is a collaboration between five local authorities including North Tyneside Council and the North East Local Enterprise Partnership. The aim of the programme is to support the region's business community to future-proof their workforces whilst tackling youth unemployment in the North East by increasing sustainable employment opportunities for up to two thousand 17 to 24 year olds. Generation NE work with employers in North Tyneside to provide a simplified, co-ordinated and tailor-made package of high quality support including one-to-one advice on how businesses can grow and evolve as well as increase the opportunities they provide for young people.

North Tyneside Strategic Partnership (NTSP) Green Theme Group is a cross-sectoral partnership to develop and deliver practical projects for energy saving and carbon reduction to communities and businesses across the borough.

The Partnership Board has developed, in conjunction with North Tyneside Council, a local Carbon Reduction Award Scheme for businesses and other organisations who operate in the borough. The Scheme is seen as a means by which local companies can show their green credentials in participating and tackling climate change, through positive carbon emissions reduction.
